The Death of Aldebaran
How can a Star die?
Stars over billions of years or at a certain point under the circumstances will eventually burn out out of fuel. Once they run out of fuel one of two things will happen. Either the will collapse and fade out or make a huge explosion. Depending on the size of the star there is a very different but yet similar way they will die. No matter the size of the star though and its process in which it will dispose and burn up all of its fuel, all stars in the end will result and turn into a White Dwarf. A white dwarf will burn for a very long time before it finally burns out, and once it does then it will just be a cold piece of rock. The only time it wont be a white dwarf is if is so massive it turns into a black hole, which is very common in massive stars.

How will Aldebaran die?
Aldebaran is unique because it is a red giant. This means that it has already depleted all of its hydrogen fuel in its core. A red giant is the second stage in the stars death. This is when the star expands bigger and bigger, for example after it expanded now Aldebaran is now more then 44 times the diameter of our sun. After it expands more and more then it will eventually after becoming so big and heating up more it will explode.

What happens next?
After the explosion after being a giant star for so long, the core of the star remains that is called a white dwarf. Around the white dwarf the entire outer layer of it is called the planetary nebula. This layer is made up of different gases that form a shell. It's called a planetary nebula because one day an astronomer located it and thought it was a planet with a ring but then later on and from research and more knowledge they realized it was known as a white dwarf. Even though realizing the new information the same stuck and is still known as a planetary nebula. Over time the gases fade away form the white dwarf and then the white dwarf is the only thing that remains. Over time since the white dwarf is the only thing that remains and is still very hot it will slowly die out and it will turn into a solid rocky object.
